WHO WE ARE
Seacoast Party 4 a Purpose was founded in 2009 by a group of young professionals who wanted to find a way to give back to their community, but struggled doing so while also trying to balance their careers and personal lives. So, the group of motivated young adults decided to create their very own volunteer opportunity — one that allowed them to concentrate on their careers, but also their community. As a result, the group came up with the idea for Seacoast Party 4 a Purpose, a non profit dedicated to throwing great parties for young professionals like themselves, with all proceeds benefitting deserving local charities and nonprofits.
WHAT WE DO
The group scoffs at the idea that raising money for worthy causes can’t be fun. Past events include retro-themed prom parties (powder blue tuxes and psychedelic leisure suits anyone?), apres-ski parties (complete with neon one-pieces from the ‘80s), wild hair parties (featuring the best mullet wigs & handle bar mustaches) and crazy hat parties (showcasing sombreros, top hats & flamingo helmets). The goal of each event is to encourage the untapped segment of young professionals living throughout the Seacoast to have fun together in the name of a worthy cause, while also hopefully inspiring them to further their civic involvement and philanthropy in the community. The group has raised more than $100,000 to date for non-profits including; Friends in Action, New Heights, Seacoast Family Food Pantry, and Richie McFarland Children’s Center.
