Concept

Here on the Seacoast, young professionals make up a distinct demographic within the community. Active, educated, and driven, the one thing that may be lacking for this group is a place to direct their already strong sense of community. With that in mind, a group of young professionals in Portsmouth have come together to host an annual event focused on having a good time, while doing some good in the process. Held in the spring, attendees of the fourth annual Seacoast Party 4 a Purpose benefit will don their best and most hilarious hats at the Mad Hatter 2013. Whether to take in the spectacle of hats and costumes or enjoy drink specials and top raffles, the goal as always is to Party 4 a Purpose. In 2013, all proceeds will benefit the Richie McFarland Children’s Center (see more info below).

2013 Charity Details

Richie McFarland Children’s Center – Stratham, NH www.richiemcfarland.org, 603-778-8193

The Richie McFarland Children’s Center (RMCC) was founded in 1971 by a small group of Seacoast parents raising children with special needs. They were determined to create social and therapeutic opportunities for their children that did not exist in the communities in which they lived. The founding families realized their goal and nearly 40 years later, RMCC remains a vital, community-based organization providing developmental and support services to more than 350 families per year. The RMCC provides high quality therapeutic services including speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and educational therapy.
